Gemstone Titles

Cumulative achievement titles earned by horses and dogs through sanctioned sim show competition.

What are Gemstone Titles?

Eight levels. One system. Two species.

The CCA Gemstone Title System recognises the cumulative competitive achievement of horses and dogs across all CCA-sanctioned sim shows. Animals earn points through placings and class participation, progressing through eight gemstone levels from Quartz to Elite Diamond. Titles are permanent, displayed after the animal's registered name, and tracked separately for equines and canines.

Title Levels & Thresholds

Equine thresholds are higher than canine as horses typically enter more classes per show.

Worked Examples

Each row is one class entered at a show. Place points come from the placing table above. Participation (+1) is earned for every class entered regardless of result. The size bonus applies per class based on how many animals were entered in that class.

Enters 4 classes. Places 1st, 2nd, 4th, and does not place in the fourth. Fewer than 20 entries in each class — no size bonus applies.

Title Rules & Eligibility

Cumulative & Permanent
Points accumulate across all shows indefinitely and never reset. Once earned, a title cannot be revoked unless the animal was entered fraudulently.
Highest Title Displayed
Only the highest earned title appears in the animal's name. Previous titles are retained in the animal's points history.
Species Separation
Equine (EQ) and Canine (CK) points are tracked independently and cannot be combined or transferred.
Class Minimum
A class must have a minimum of 3 entries to count toward title points.
Record Keeping
Points are recorded automatically by the CCA circuit system at the close of each sanctioned show. No submission is required. The circuit register is the sole authoritative record. Owners may request a points audit at any time.
